  这次写2003年1月六级真题的作文，

  题目是：it pays to be honest

  要求： 1 当前社会存在许多不诚实的现象

         2 诚实利人利己，做人应该诚实

  下面是我的作文，，请  丁老师及各位点友   指点江山，，谢谢

            It pays to be honest

     “You can trust nobody except yourself”, we always see this subtitle in the movie. It does reflect one overcast facet of our society. As a matter of fact, dishonesty has swarmed into our lives. To name only a few, pirate DVD products have dominated the film market; we don’t possess intimate friends and we always, worst of all, lose the sense of security.

Shall we indulge ourselves in this situation without any concern? Absolutely, no. For one thing, honesty is a traditional virtue of our Chinese offspring. Looking back on the past, we have got an army of heroes who dedicated themselves to the government because of their sense of honesty and loyalty. For another, honesty is  conduce not only to yourself but also to other fellow citizens surrounding you. Undoubtedly, honesty could sharpen your competitive edge in the process of job-hunting. Moreover, it will, combined with passion, play a positive role in the modernization course of our country.

All above-mentioned interpret the significance of being honest. As an individual, I hold the attitude that it pays to be honest. We will exert ourselves on propelling this merit until it is universally recognized.

The profound implication conveyed by the drawing is exceedingly obvious. Compared with three cocks, the hen always works hard without any complaint. Whereas, that three only catch a sight and comment but do. In realistic life, such examples exist universally. In most of state-owned enterprises and public service organizations, we can see these matters. Such deeds will trigger an army of side effects. For one thing, it plays a negative role in the process of socialism constructions. Apparently, the enthusiasm of progressive sense will be depressed and the interpersonal relationships will be deteriorated when such affairs emerge. For another, these minority individuals, combined with their arrogant attitude, will summon up bureaucratism. Day by day, they may be accustomed to this adverse working methods which really do harm to the overall atmosphere.

Personally, I’m firmly stand on the side of the hen. Since it’s better to do than to say. In the long run, to pave way for the brilliant future of socialism course, such behaviors should be prohibited with no hesitation.

对了,今天我认真地拜读了 师傅 您的那个超精解的文章,共九页,

看了之后真的是豁然开朗啊,我读过很多很多的阅读书，也做过很多很多的练习,但是今天我才真正找到一种提高阅读的方法

虽然05年12月六级阅读也只错2个,但是看到您的文章后,我非常有信心在07年的考研中阅读(4选1)中，也只错两个!

因为确实是找到了好方法.......

我今天已经遵照师傅的方法精读了一篇,感觉好象在飞..............

我还要说一句,丁老师果然是名不虚传,您才是真正的"老师"

因为您不仅教给我们知识,更是教会了我们一种学习的方法,

而且为我们批改不足

I am writing this letter in the hope that I could obtain an opportunity to apply for the position of Engineer advertised in China Daily.

My name is Li Ming, an undergraduate student, XX university. Majoring in Mechanical Engineering, vehicle science and technology in particular, entitles me to acquire the right qualification. Nurtured by the responsible tutor----a renowned professor, I have accomplished three principal projects , e-solution of Net-working system, the creative layout of vehicles and the designing of efficient admission system, in the period of four-year education.

Though I am not the best, I always definitely try my utmost. I will be really appreciated if you are going to deliver the catalogue and detailed application form. I am looking forward to your response.

 What a vivid cartoon. As is shown above, a robust spring linking with a head with smile on his face is displaying his energetic muscle as if he will bounce back dramatically at any time in the condition that under overloaded pressure.

The implication of the drawing is really thought-provoking. Compared as an obstinate spring, education is the target of public debate. The two sides are side follows: if you press if lightly, no function emerges; however, if it undertakes too much, it will, in accordance with common sense, bound back, giving rise to side effects. So, how to grope a moderate and balanced point is the principal priority for the authorities.

Personally, we should, for a start, take measures immediately so as to alleviate students’ burden. The high incidence of suicide in campus is not a coincidence. Secondly, the authorities should promote the sophisticated teaching methods which possess increasing practical sense. Students’ horizon will, in that way, be broadened and learning capacity will be enhanced. Additionally, teachers and parents should provide our kids with more opportunities for self-study. They won’t become well-educated unless they can survive by means of their own hands and knowledge.

现在感觉时间过的很快，一转眼就到时间更新自己的作文了，唉………光阴的故事…………………

我现在除了按 丁老师  说的超精读之外,坚持背单词之外

我又在我的学习表上加了一项:听写BBC和NNC新闻.(因为看了丁老师的blog,研究外国人的演讲对阅读非常的有好处)

我的听力本来就很不错(得益于考上海的口译练习的),平时听写CNN的两分半的Headlines要45分钟左右,再对文本,在朗读.有时间就背诵,没时间就读几遍.

因为是亲自听写过的,所以印象非常的深刻,确实真的不错,而且对听力和语感的帮助非常大.

缺点就是非常费时间,如果基础不太好的人,恐怕听也听不出来,更别说费时间了.请大家记住一点:能听懂和能听写下来完全是两码事....(可以自己试一试)

我想,这个听写可以称为"精听", 加上丁老师的"精读",攻克英语那就是 a matter of time.

大家一起努力吧,别以为考研还有很长时间.时间真的世界上跑的最快的东西,有非常抽象.

Dear Mr. manager of Personnel Department: 

      I am writing this letter in the purpose of resigning from our corporation. For a start, breaking a 3-year contract, I must apologize for the unexpected lost and negative influence triggered by my resignation.

      I have got the admission certificate of XXX university and will further my education in July. This has long been the holy dream that ultimately takes wings in my life. Thereby, I wish to grab this opportunity to sharpen my competitive edge and lay a solid foundation for my promising future life.

      I desire to express my apology again. And I will be really appreciated if you could approve my application and sign your name. In conclusion, I wish our business a complete success. Thank you.

     As is portrayed in this vivid picture, a man stands straight, staring up at the top of a big tree which is compared to the “treasure island”. With his finger in his mouth, he is deliberately contemplating how to obtain such a huge heap of greenback.

     The scripts, on the margin, distinctly convey the implication that it would be better to possess a long life-span than to be a high-level official. Happiness, however, is more important than the former two.

     Happiness, in accordance with the medical authorities, plays a crucial role in our daily life, potentially impacting our life expectation and value. Further more, an optimistic attitude is a decisive element for our success. We can, with it, vanquish any garrison of setbacks and failures which are the essential roadstones/slabstones of absolute triumph.

     As an individual, I, deriving from my own experience, bear an army of fruits from happiness which is consider, by myself, as the exact way leading to Rome. Adding up all the above-mentioned, I am able to draw the conclusion that we have reached a broad consensus on the significance of happiness.
