Nowwe are to talk about the housing phenomenon in Beijing. Everybody here fromwalks as well as from other cities, I believe, would take interest in it, forthe issue concerns not only the development of economy but the problem of thecitizens’life. For recent years, as is known, the housing industry of Beijing, like that of other places in China, has gained a rapid increase in development. On one hand, it has been pulling the development of the whole economy ofBeijing, bringing about the birth of many new industries in connection with itand therefore devoting to some extent to the solution to the knottingjob-problem;and on the other hand, the housing economy has been providing thecitizens with houses of every sort and met them for their different needs. But,however, there exist quite a few problems relating to that, which imposeinfluence of some kinds upon the development of economy and the society. Forexample, the quality problem, resulting in some contradictions among theparties concerned, worries the authorities; the going-on price problem, makingthe would-be consumers puzzled, keeps the polarization even more serious; thecorruption problem in this circle, developing soils for some undisciplinedservicemen, keeps the challenges against the fight initiated by the CPC….

However, it cannot be said that an end should be put to the housing, andan outlook under an two-sided idea be taken on the two ends, and more effortsbe taken for regulation in the course of those for development-and that’s it!

Bythe way, I should like to express my acknowledgement to everyone for yourunderstanding of and support to our work at acro(
宏观)-level and thank you,everybody!

Finally, we are supposed not to overlook the negative influence of theWenchuan Earthquake on the real estate’industry, though Beijing is out of thestricking centre.
