Traveling Abroad

There is an increasing number of people who choose traveling abroad during last decade. From the table we could see that only 10 thousand people went abroad for traveling in 1995 and in the turn of the new century the number just climbed to 40 thousand. However, last year, 2005, over 120 thousand people have an oversea trip.

In my opinion, this trend thanks to three reasons. First, with the development of our national economy, the living standard of all the Chinese people has gained a huge improvement. They have enough money to pursue their dream, traveling abroad. Second, people in the Middle Kingdom have much more spare time than before. We got two long special vacation, for instance, National Day and Labor Day, each of which is one week’s long. Last but not least, folks eager to broaden their views by going to a foreign country and exchange the different culture.

The effect of this phenomenon is positive. Our economy could be spurred from this way. People can communicate with whom come from different culture and make full use of the advantage of different culture.

1.腐败产生的原因和危害。

3.腐败问题是可以解决的。
Fighting Corruption
Corruption is an offensive thing for all of the honest people. The dark side of which is obvious to everyone. However, currently there is an increasing number of the case of corruption. Some people who own huge power are becoming greed and selfish while the others make full use of their degraded character and bribe the officials.
To maintain the stability of our society, we should take effective measures to stop the phenomenon. First of all, the moral education should be accepted by not only the officials but also the citizens. In this way, the whole society must realize that corruption offend everyone. Second, our government needs to strengthen the law which concerns about corruption. No matter whom he or she used to be, if he or she do some illegal things must be published seriously. Third, we need to pay more attention to cultivate our next generation so that they could build up the correct outlook on life and value.
The problem of corruption should be settled if we hold our strength together. Both our government and society would be much pure than before.

There is an increasing number of people who choose traveling abroad during last decade (Dangling modifier. Technically, this can mean they want to travel during the last decade. That is different from that "during the last decade", an increasing number of people choose to travel abroad.). ... with the development of our national economy (China's economy is no longer "developing"; it is "growing."), the living standard of all the Chinese people has gained a huge improvement. They  (dangling pronoun "they". The antecedent noun in the subject is "living standard.") have... Last but not least, folks eager (eager is not a verb) to broaden their views by going to a foreign country and exchange the different culture.

There are not many major structural problems. Some minor mistakes have been fixed in the revision below.

==
(Note, some but not all, English teachers, including the ones I had, advocate not mixing numeric representation 50,000 with character representation: fifty thousand. In the following, I am using only character representation.)

During the last decade, there is an increasing number of people choosing to travel abroad. From the table we can see that only ten thousand people travel abroad in 1995, and, at the turn of the century, the number just climbed to forty thousand. However, lat year, 2005, over one hundred and twenty thousand people had an oversea trip.
In my opinion, this trend exists thanks to three reasons. First, with our national economy growing, the living standard for all Chinese has gained a huge improvemnt. Chinese citizens now have enough money to pursue their dreams, and travelling abroad is one of them. Second, people in the Middle Kingdom have much more spare time than before. They have two long special vacations, for instance, National Day and Labor Day, each of which is one week’s long. Last but not least, folks are eager to broaden their views by going to a foreign country and exchanging (going...exchanging) different cultures.
The effect of this phenomenon is positive. Our economy can be spurred on by this way. People can communicate with others of different cultures and make full use of the advantage of those cultures.

上篇作文没得到高手的批改,呵呵,再接再厉,再发一篇,希望高手多多指导,小女子这里先谢过了,谢谢啊
Does Grades Means Ability?
Currently the number of exam for grades is drastically high, for instance, grades for English, grades for computer skills and so on. China’s sharply growing economic climate fosters this trend. However, the debate over exams and grades is heating up. Some people living in urban China insist that the vital element for a job hunter is grades, and grades means ability.
Meanwhile, others perceive that ability means all kinds of quality rather than grades. Grades just reflect a small aspect of a whole person. A person, for instance, getting a high mark on CET-6 may not be able to communicate with an English speaker at all.
My point is not far away from the second. Maybe we assess a person from what his or her grades are at first sight, however, the real ability should be witnessed by the way he or she choose to settle tough troubles. In the far more modern time, a variety of ability can lead to one’s success.
这篇有很多用法我都不是很确定。恳请高手多多指点,谢谢啊

Does Grades Means Ability?-->Do grades translate into ability? (Do good grades imply good ability?)
for instance, grades for English, grades for computer skills and so on. (<--Sentence Fragment)
China’s sharply growing (economic climate)(*It is not the "economic climate" that is growing, but the economy.) fosters this trend. (However,)(Why "however"? There is no connection between this sentence and the previous one to justify the use of "however".)(Start new paragraph here.) -->Do grades translate to ability?
Currently, exam grades are drastically high: for instance, grades for English, computer skills, and so on. China's rapidly growing economy helps to foster this trend.
The debate over exams and grades is heating up. Some people living in urban China insist that the vital("crucial" is a better word for this situation) element for a job hunter us grades, and that good grades suggest/imply ability.
