今天在ECO中文论坛逛的时候，发现一个同学发了一个翻译求助的帖子，原文是这样的：

开始我只是稍微看了下这个句子，觉得这个句子并不难，但是有个版主的分析，让我感到有些诧异，他是这样分析的：
我觉得 the alien harbours within her lissom form the destructive powers of a Panzer division 的结构应是：
the alien forms the ......powers of .......
harbours within her lissom form
他的翻译是：不幸的是，隐匿在她柔软外表中的外星人形成了装甲师团一样的破坏力，它与那位轻率的基因学家和他的实验室同归于尽。
他还振振有词道：harbours不是谓语，因为我从来没有看过它跟双宾语的情况！
下面是我的分析：
——因为，我没有见过 harbour 后面跟双宾语的情况
harbour后面哪里跟了双宾语呢？估计这位版主仁兄犯了一个语法识别错误，把of a Panzer division也当成宾语了。
——我觉得 the alien harbours within her lissom form the destructive powers of a Panzer division 的结构应是：
the alien forms the ......powers of .......
harbours within her lissom form "
更何况，如果把form当谓语，alien harbours 是什么意思？ 同时，那个within her lissom又怎么解释呢，lissom可是形容词啊，岂不是没有修饰的东东了？其实这句话的主干是the alien harbours within her lissom form the destructive powers of a Panzer division 其中“within her lissom form”为状语，“alien”为主语，“harbours”为谓语，“powers”为宾语，destructive 和of a panzer division为定语修饰“powers”
由此可见，语法真的太重要了，连语法的结构都没有理顺，怎么能谈上对原文有准确而清晰的理解呢？切实提高自己的阅读实力，加强基本功的训练才是关键，而基本功的训练则需要结合长期一字一句的精读。一个劲的瞎做题，拼命的想去掌握所谓的解题技巧，考场上绝对会必败无疑！
